Anklets and "Hoes"? Two very different personalities. Let's prove it!

Anklets and "Hoes"? Two very different personalities. Let's prove it!

From Indian anklets worn at native marriage ceremonies and in daily life.

To Boho anklets of native American women....

And to the precious beaded African anklets. ......one one must definitely admire the beautiful work of the hands.

It is said that there's nothing new under the sun. And I'm not saying what you think is wrong, but it would hurt less if you actually took your time to digest what I'm about to feed you. Please,be my most honoured guest.
For the Christians. (I know a lot of you have not come across it). But in the book of the prophet Isiah chapter three verse sixteen to eighteen .........and I quote

Isaiah 3:16-18
[16]The lord says, “Beautiful Zion is haughty:
craning her elegant neck,
    flirting with her eyes,
walking with dainty steps,
    tinkling her ankle bracelets.
[17]So the Lord will send scabs on her head;
the lord will make beautiful Zion bald.”
[18]On that day of judgment
the Lord will strip away everything that makes her beautiful:
ornaments, headbands, crescent necklaces,

Now let's get things straight. The Bible is not against anklets or ankle bracelets here. But ankle bracelets if you were following are one of the things that makes Zion beautiful, and in verse 18, the Lord says he will strip away everything that makes Zion beautiful and the ankle bracelets are part of these ornaments  (do take note ). So at this point it's safe to say that Anklets are more of a feminine asset, to symbolise beauty.

Now, let's get back to Africa-pre colonial Ghana.
As a matter of fact, in those days anklets were worn to show cultural heritage or one could say the richness of culture and were made with the best of beads. As a matter of fact men gifted women anklets to signify or show looooooove. Lol. And in the case of showcasing rich culture, till today queen mothers and cultural dancers wear the best of the best when it comes to anklets. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Interestingly. Anklets with bells were worn by women to alert men of their presence and to make the men behave properly. So it's only safe to say it helped put African men in their rightful placeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
So that's about all I uncovered about anklets in the Ghanaian aspect. Wearing anklets doesn't mean you worship marine gods. I mean, forget the religious ventriloquists. They are just very misinformed and ignorant people.
I hope I made a difference in your mind and possibly your life. Lol.
